The Norwest Bulls are working hard to make 2019 our best year ever, with a focus on developing our already highly respected coaches. We’ve invited Dan Parks to lead the Bulls coaching staff and players through our early pre-season training program starting 6 February at Alwyn Lindfield Reserve. Dan appeared in 67 Tests for Scotland at flyhalf between 2004 and 2012, and he holds the all-time points scoring record for Scotland’s Pro12 Rugby Championship (1582 points). Now back in Sydney, he is a professional rugby coach who shares our passion for teaching kids to love their rugby and helping all of them to reach their full potential. In particular, Dan will be working closely with all the Bulls coaches during pre-season, to help improve their coaching techniques so that we can build on this learning through the season. The program will involve all Norwest Bulls coaches and will be available for all registered Norwest players from Under 10 and up.
The Girls Rugby season starts earlier than our other competitions, with our Braided Bulls starting Wave 1 of the SJRU Sevens competition on Saturday 9 February. This means they are already getting back into the swing of training. Training is on for our U13/14 and U15/16 Girls from 6pm this Wednesday 16 January. If you know any girls who want to to play rugby, please refer them to www.norwestrugby.com.au for details about the club.
